CIBSE Ireland celebrates Kevin Kelly’s Gold Medal

While Kevin Kelly received his CIBSE Gold Medal Award with full honours at the prestigious London awards ceremony last autumn, CIBSE Ireland recently marked the occasion with a more intimate, relaxed celebration.

Kevin and his family—wife Louise and daughters Shauna, Órlaith and Lana— were the principal guests at a celebratory lunch hosted by CIBSE Ireland Chair Laura McMahon at the RDS Members’ Club in Dublin. They were joined by CIBSE Ireland committee members, as well as CIBSE President Vince Arnold and CIBSE CEO Ruth Carter, who both travelled from the UK.

The guest list featured close friends, former colleagues, past chairs, and emerging leaders like Heather Holt (WIBSE Chair) and Dylan Ryan (CIBSE Ireland YEN Chair).

Later that evening at the same venue, the celebrations continued with a special dinner honouring the region’s newly Chartered Engineers and Fellows. The event doubled as an excellent networking opportunity for attendees. CIBSE

CIBSE President Vince Arnold delivered the keynote address and officially presented lapel pins to the three newly minted Fellows: Mona Duff, Keith Brazil, and Michael McDonald, capping off a memorable day of professional achievement.
