With a number of courses approved for CPD through its RIAI and Engineers Ireland, Grant provides free-of-charge training both onsite at its purpose-built Training Academy in Birr, Co. Offaly, and offsite across Ireland.

Grant CPD Courses Designed for Building Professionals

Grant currently offers three distinct CPD courses tailored to design and specification professionals:

  1. An Introduction to Air to Water Heat Pumps, Condensing Oil & HVO ready Boilers and Wood Pellet Boilers
  2. Specific product training for Condensing Oil, Wood Pellet, and Heat Pump Product Training
  3. Heat Pump Technology & Appropriate Heat Emitter Sizing

Each course is structured to provide in-depth insight into Grant’s innovative heating technologies, giving attendees a practical understanding of system design and performance. The sessions also focus on correct heat emitter sizing and specification to ensure system efficiency and regulatory compliance in real-world applications. Courses are delivered at no cost and are available on-site or off-site by arrangement through training@grant.ie.

Supporting Industry Skills and Collaboration

Grant’s commitment to skills development extends far beyond product training. The company has consistently worked with trade professionals, local authorities, and educational partners to bridge the gap between new heating technologies and practical application.

Commenting on the company’s dedication to training, Keith Scully, Training Manager at Grant said, “At Grant, we design and manufacture efficient, forward-thinking heating technologies — but just as importantly, we ensure that the people working with them have access to high-quality education. Our training programmes are continuously evolving to reflect new technologies and regulations, so that every installer, specifier, and engineer and those working within the construction or plumbing and heating industry can work with confidence.”

CPD Learning in a Low-Carbon Future

With Ireland’s energy transition accelerating, demand for professionals trained in renewable heating design and integration is increasing rapidly. Grant’s CPD programme ensures that building professionals are equipped with the skills to specify technologies such as the Aerona R290 air-to-water heat pump, HVO-ready Vortex boiler range, and integrated heating packages for new builds which are designed for NZEB-compliant homes.

These sessions are not just about technical understanding as they foster collaboration between manufacturers and the building services community. Through this training Grant wants to ensure every project benefits from systems that are efficient, compliant, and sustainable.

For architects, engineers, and energy assessors seeking to enhance their technical knowledge whilst earning recognised CPD credits, Grant’s free training represents a valuable opportunity to future-proof both their skills and the systems they design.
