Howard Neville appointed President of ASHRAE Ireland Chapter
ASHRAE Ireland Chapter has installed Howard Neville as its 2025-2026 Chapter President along with newly elected officers.
Howard Neville is the mechanical department manager with Arcadis Advanced Process Manufacturing Division, a member of ASHRAE Ireland Board of Governors and Chair of the Chapter Technology Transfer Committee. He has 30 years of experience in the Irish mechanical and building services industry, having worked with consulting engineering firms, equipment suppliers and Design & Build contractors. Howard represented Arcadis and the Irish ASHRAE Chapter, presenting at the international ASHRAE Annual Summer Conference.
On being elected to the office of chapter president, he stated, “I am proud and humbled to take on the role of president of ASHRAE Ireland Chapter for 2025/26. As the industry stands at a crossroads of rapid technological advancements, expectations of indoor environments, ecological responsibility and global political & economic uncertainties, ASHRAE Ireland Chapter is committed to building on the outstanding work of our outgoing president, Edith Blennerhassett in leading the charge in shaping our sustainable future.
“By fostering collaboration and innovation, with the support of ASHRAE vice president Dr John McKeon, we aim to build our relevance and support the ambitions and needs of Ireland’s engineering and built-environment community. Together, we will drive the development of healthy, resilient and energy-efficient solutions that meet the needs of our society today and for generations to come.”
The ASHRAE Ireland Chapter is committed to advancing the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration. Through ongoing education, networking, and advocacy, ASHRAE Ireland supports a diverse community of professionals, including engineers, architects, academics, and government officials.
The chapter’s goal is to create built environments that are comfortable, healthy, and efficient for everyone. The chapter plans to expand its educational and outreach programmes, strengthen its partnerships within the industry and advocate for policies that support sustainable, healthy, and smart building practices. These initiatives are key to addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in Ireland’s growing construction and engineering sectors.

Alex Frant (Project Mechanical Engineer, Axiseng Consulting) was appointed ASHRAE Ireland YEA Chair.
